What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to remember information about your visit, such as keeping you signed in or remembering your preferred language.
The cookies we use
fkra|فكرة sets essential first-party cookies, plus one analytics cookie only if you accept it. We use no advertising cookies:
- Session (fkra-session) — keeps you securely signed in while you use the Platform.
- Language (active_locale) — remembers whether you prefer English or Arabic.
- Theme (active_theme) — remembers your light or dark appearance preference.
- Cookie choice (fkra_analytics_consent) — remembers whether you accepted or declined the analytics cookie, so we ask only once.
- Analytics (ph_…_posthog) — set only if you accept it. PostHog, our analytics provider, uses it to recognise your browser across visits, so we can see how people find fkra|فكرة and whether they come back. It expires after one year.
If you decline, or have not chosen yet, we still count visits without a cookie: PostHog derives a temporary identifier from your IP address and browser that changes every day and is never stored on your device. When you are signed in, the pages and features you use are linked to your account, as our Privacy Policy describes, without an analytics cookie unless you accept one.
Managing cookies
You can change your analytics choice at any time below. You can also control and delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential ones affects the Platform: for example, you may be signed out or lose your language preference.
